you may have, including physical, emotional or chemical. Discover how
it may be affecting your life and your health. Identify how your daily
activities may lead to stress.
Positive and negative stress - There are two sides to every
story. Short-term stress is good. Long-term stress is not. Positive stress
can be motivating. Negative stress can be exhausting-physically, emotionally
and chemically.
Three types of stress - Physical stress may be caused by
lack of exercise, poor posture and positioning of the body while standing,
sitting or sleeping. Emotional stress may be caused by work, home, family
or financial concerns. Chemical stress may be caused by poor diet and
nutrition, including drug and alcohol use.
Symptoms - High blood pressure, stiff joints and muscles,
digestive disorders, headaches, fatigue, sleeplessness and allergies may
be symptoms of stress.
